Metabolic flexibility check: what can you still change?
Feels like a door is slowly closing on your health — is it too late to change anything? Maybe a report came back "borderline". Maybe a parent has diabetes and you can feel the same story loading. It's easy to believe the outcome is already decided and there's no point trying. But a large part of metabolic health is built from everyday things — how you move, sleep, eat and recover — and those are rarely as fixed as they feel. Take three private minutes to see what, honestly, is still in your hands.
Free and private · your answers are never sold or shown to advertisers. This is a reflective check, not a diagnosis or a cure.

What is a metabolic flexibility check?
A metabolic flexibility check is a short, reflective set of questions about everyday lifestyle factors linked to metabolic health — movement, sleep, eating patterns, activity and body-weight context. It organizes which of these you may have room to build on. It is not a medical test, does not measure your metabolism and does not diagnose or rule out any condition.
Frequently asked questions
Can this check change or undo a diabetes diagnosis?
No. It is an educational reflection on everyday lifestyle factors — movement, sleep, diet, activity and waist context — not a treatment and not a claim about any diagnosis. For many people, sustained lifestyle change can meaningfully improve metabolic health, though results vary and no quiz, app or habit change can promise a particular outcome. If you are diagnosed with diabetes, work with your doctor and never stop prescribed medicine based on a quiz.
Does it measure my metabolism or metabolic flexibility?
No. True metabolic flexibility is a physiological property measured with clinical testing. This check simply organizes self-reported lifestyle habits linked to metabolic health. It cannot measure your metabolism, confirm insulin resistance, or diagnose any condition.
Is this a diagnosis of prediabetes or diabetes?
No. It cannot diagnose or rule out prediabetes, diabetes or insulin resistance. Only appropriate blood testing — such as HbA1c, fasting plasma glucose or an oral glucose tolerance test — interpreted by a qualified professional can do that. If you'd like to understand your risk factors first, try the Blood Sugar Risk Check.
My parent has diabetes — does that mean I will get it?
Family history is one commonly cited risk factor, not a certainty. Risk is not the same as fate, and it is not something this quiz can confirm. Many risk factors are lifestyle-related and, for many people, changeable. A qualified professional and appropriate testing can give you a real picture.
Are my answers private?
Yes. Your answers produce a result for you. Sensitive answers are never sold, sent to advertisers or used to build a marketing profile. Saving the result to track it over time is optional and happens in the Nily app.
What should I do with a "several factors to work on" result?
Treat it as a map, not a verdict. Pick one changeable area and build on it, ideally alongside metabolic-health tracking or a professional if you've been flagged or diagnosed. It does not mean anything is “too late”, and it is not a medical assessment.
Symptoms such as a marked increase in thirst, urinating much more than usual, unexplained weight loss, blurred vision or persistent extreme tiredness can have several causes and deserve prompt assessment by a qualified professional — please don't wait for a quiz result. If you have severe confusion, fainting, difficulty breathing, persistent vomiting or another rapidly worsening emergency, call 112 now or go to the nearest emergency department. Nily is not a crisis or emergency service.
Never start, stop, increase, decrease or substitute any prescription medicine based on this tool or any website content. Nily makes no claim to undo, treat or resolve any diagnosed condition; improving everyday habits can support metabolic health, but no quiz, program or app can promise a particular blood-sugar result, weight or health outcome.
